walter's finally getting something done!
so i finally get some time today to get my items done for noOil.tv. we're trying to show how easy and fast this is.so i'll give you the real scoop.... i'm watching the game while i'm doing this. today i've modified the content types to make sure only what we want to post to the from page gets posted there, downloaded and installed a module called Mollom, to help up keep spam from being posted to the site. while i had to register at the Mollom site and get the keys both of these items took me about 12 minutes max.next item is newsticker: this i will show on monday as i have a little custom programming to use.next i setup "premium" a content control module that allows for the flagging of content as "premium" or "subscrition-based" so it can be restricted. this module really did not gave much time to setup except it has next to no documentation so you dont know what it is exactly doing. to get the most of the module you need to setup a user role to have access to the "premium" content. htis is basically a copy of the "authenicated" user role with the added ability to view premium content. to acutuall use the module is easy, a check box is place in the publishing area of the content pages so you can decide by each posting wheather or not it's a premium post. i think this took me about 10 minuites to setup, only because i had to build a new user role and the doc on this module was not great. well that's it for now. more late!hastaW
