NoOil.tv Rapid Development Presented Monday November 10th

Successful night.  Not too bad for filling in a program, a bit disorganized, but I think we all learned things.  www.NoOil.tv is built and active.  It's not what it could be yet, but I've seen lots of worse sites out there!

There were lots of blog postings that were promoted to the front page in preparation for this... I've taken them off the front page now but you can see them on Member Blogs.

So here's a thought... Eric is planning on SEO101 next month (there will probably be a post shortly about that).  What does everyone think about building some content and promoting traffic for nooil.tv in the meantime? Could that be folded into the presentation?  Rapid Development followed by Rapid Promotion?

Comments please!

Drupal Cheat Sheet

Greetings, there seem to be a number of people considering getting started on developing your first drupal sites, I thought I would share the following that I have just added to my list of drupal links at www.net2community.com.

CURL pt. 2

Hey everybody,

Great night last night...thanks!

Here is that CURL code I talked about:

PHP Zip Code Locator / Zip Code database

I was talking with some people at the PHP meetup and mentioned using a 3rd party zip code locator and zip code database. for a freelance project some time ago.

Non-Profit Tech Resources

While searching for something completely different, I stumbled across a few sites I thought would be useful to the non-profit oriented members of FVCP. So without further ado:

Check your site against multiple browsers on multiple platforms... for free!

There have been plenty of fee-based browser preview sites, but I recently came across a free one that works better than most any other I've tested.

Magento and Swift Mailer

Typically on Fridays, when I have time, I try to do a bit of online research and perusal to see what's new out there in Web/PHP land. I discovered two new (well, to me anyhow) items that I found interesting.

Cheap Pre-Conference Sessions in St. Charles

Hi all, I thought I would pass along some information about the upcoming National Association of Government Webmasters (NAGW) conference. It is being held in September at Pheasant Run Resort and Spa.

This year we've decided to let people register for pre-conference sessions without registering for the rest of the conference. The pre-conference sessions are $75 each and run for a half day. They cover a wide range of topics and I thought a few of them might interest some of you. Below is a list of the session titles:
